Job description This concerns a 1.5 year postdoc position at TU Delft under guidance of Martijn Caspers. The candidate should work in the area of operator algebras or in a neighbouring area that involves operator algebraic aspects of for instance: â¢Quantum groups â¢Operator spaces â¢Non-commutative harmonic analysis â¢Geometric or measurable group theory or (approximate) representation theory â¢Quantum information theory â¢Non-commutative geometry â¢Quantum probability The position is free of teaching duties. You will be working within the Analysis group of DIAM (the TU Delft mathematics faculty). Our group consists of researchers in several parts of functional analysis including operator theory, quantum groups, stochastic analysis, analysis of PDE's, special functions and representation theory. Our group typically hosts 5-8 PhD students and 1 or 2 postdocs. It provides a vivid work environment including seminars and several guests. Requirements â¢You must have obtained a PhD in mathematics or you are close to finishing a PhD. â¢Your research connects to one of the topics mentioned in the job description or a topic related to operator algebras. â¢Obviously you like doing research and you are willing to develop yourself further into a fully independent researcher.
