The Department of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences at the University of Alberta invites applications for postdoctoral positions in applied mathematics commencing in Fall 2021. More information about the research interests of members in the Department can be found here:

The position will be for two years subject to a review after the first year. The position will include a teaching component of at most one course per year and also provide funding for research-related expenses.
Applicants must have a PhD in mathematics or physics prior to the start of the fellowship. Applicants should submit a cover letter including the names of possible research mentors, a curriculum vitae, publicatiion list, research statement, and at least three confidential letters of reference.
Review of applications will begin immediately, however the competition will remain open until filled. Applications received before Nov. 27, 2021 may also be considered for sponsorship for a PIMS postdoctoral fellowship (https://www.pims.math.ca/scientific/postdoctoral).
