The Humboldt University Berlin invites applications for one three-year postdoctoral position for new and recent PhD's. Candidates should have excellent research credentials in algebraic geometry or geometric group theory. These positions are funded by the ERC Advanced Grant "SYZYGY: Syzygies, moduli and topological invariants of groups“ of Gavril Farkas. Particular attention will be given to candidates showing some affinity with one of the following topics: moduli spaces in algebraic geometry, syzygies of algebraic varieties, algebraic curves, character varieties, hyperplane arrangements, mapping class groups etc. Closing date is January 5th 2021.
