The Department of Mathematics and Statistics anticipates filling two tenure-track positions (Assistant or Associate Professor levels) in computational algebra and computational mathematics beginning in August 2021. Mississippi State University is a Land-Grant University and designated as a “very high research activity university” by the Carnegie Foundation. Essential duties and responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and/or graduate level courses, developing a substantial research program, providing direction and effective leadership for M.S. and Ph.D. students and engaging in departmental, university, and scientific community service functions.
