Hendrix College invites applications for a three-year term position for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Mathematics to begin in August 2021. The College seeks to extend its tradition of excellence in teaching and scholarship by attracting faculty who combine mastery of their disciplines with broad intellectual interests and commitment to the aims of a liberal arts college. The ideal candidate must demonstrate the capacity and desire to become an excellent teacher across all levels of the mathematics curriculum. Special consideration will be given to candidates with a specialization in algebra. The standard teaching load is six courses per year, and all department members also mentor senior capstone projects. Doctorate is preferred; ABD will be considered.
