Full-time one-year position, Mathematics

 

Applications are invited for a one-year full-time position in mathematics at the instructor or assistant professor level for the 2021 – 2022 academic year. Candidates must possess a Ph.D. or masters in the mathematical sciences. The teaching load for this position is 3 courses per semester (for 2 semesters). Courses may include college algebra, precalculus, calculus, or introductory probability and statistics. The nine month contract for this position includes benefits and carries a $48,000 salary.

 

Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. (includes U.S. citizens, permanent residents, foreign nationals granted temporary residence under one of the 1986 legalization programs, refugees, and asylees).

 

The department offers majors in Mathematics, Computer Science, and Data Science, and is housed in Pacific University’s College of Arts & Sciences, a private undergraduate liberal arts college of approximately 1800 students.
