Our undergraduate programmes in mathematics are centered around two principles. First, any student with an interest in mathematics can gain a good foundational understanding of the discipline in a conducive learning atmosphere. Second, with this solid foundation in mathematics, and their varied interests and lived experiences, our mathematics graduates can have a meaningful impact in a variety of sectors. With this in mind, our programmes include active/inquiry-based learning, structured peer support, exploratory projects, and a strong mentoring culture. We invite applicants who are interested in contributing to our BSc and BSc-BEd programmes to apply. The faculty will engage in curriculum design and development, teaching, and student mentoring. Apart from this there is an opportunity to design and teach elective courses, guide honors student projects in their fields of expertise, and collaborate with others in the fields of mathematics and mathematics education.
Candidates with a PhD in any area of mathematics are encouraged to apply. Preference will be given to those with a background in analysis, probability, PDEs, mathematical modelling, statistics, or data science. We seek candidates with a strong commitment to teaching and research, and a willingness to contribute to a general liberal educational curriculum.
