The Mathematical Institute at the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen is inviting applications for the position of a Emmy-Noether-Research Assistant starting April 1, 2021, for a fixed term of 3 years, with a salary according to pay scale level E13 TV-L. The position is funded via the programme “Professorinnenprogramm des Bundes und der Länder“ and shall foster in particular female early career researchers. Your duties • University teaching as defined in Section 31 of the Higher Education Act of Lower Saxony (NHG) • Mathematical research in one of the research areas represented at the Mathematical Institute Your profile • Master Degree and PhD/doctoral degree in mathematics or mathematical physics, • Research focus within one of the fields pursued at the Mathematical Institute, • Language proficiency in English or German. • Teaching experience is desirable. • Scientific publication experience is desirable. • We expect willingness to cooperate in joint scientific projects. The post is designed to promote early career researchers and it is possible to obtain a Habilitation. The position is suitable for part-time employment.
