Postdoctoral Fellowship in Representation Theory - UCA (Clermont-Ferrand, France)

Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position in Representation Theory at Université Clermont Auvergne, in the Laboratoire de Mathématiques Blaise Pascal (Clermont-Ferrand, France). The position is for two years, with a net salary of approximatively 2000 euros per month. The successful candidate will not have any teaching obligations and will have financial support for invitations and travel. The expected starting date is September 2021, but a slightly later date might be possible.

The position is funded by the European Research Council CoG project RedLang "Modular representation theory of reductive algebraic groups and local Geometric Langlands duality" of Simon Riche. The main topic of this project is the exploration of representation theory of reductive algebraic groups over fields of positive characteristic via methods suggested by the Geometric Langlands philosophy.

This position will be an opportunity to join an active group of young researchers in this area, and will provide numerous opportunities for collaboration.

Applications including a CV, a research statement, and a copy of publications not available online (if any) should be sent to simon.riche_at_uca.fr. Applicants should also arrange for 2 letters of recommendation to be sent to the same address. The deadline for application is Feb. 27th, 2021, but later applications might be considered until the position is filled.
