Regular travel is expected. Some evening and weekend work will be required. Required: Master’s degree or ABD in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related field. Experience coordinating complex projects or assisting students in solving problems. Preferred: PhD in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or Statistics. Internship or work experience in industry or a scientific lab. Successful candidates will also possess broad basic knowledge of the mathematical sciences. Ability to assume responsibility and to work independently with minimum guidance. Sound, independent judgment. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Good listening skills. Diplomatic and highly ethical. Commitment to diversity and inclusion of women and underrepresented minorities. Excellent teamwork skills. The Visiting Internship Project Developer position is a full-time, benefits-eligible, visiting academic professional position appointed on a 12-month service basis, and renewable yearly based on satisfactory performance reviews and funding. The expected start date is flexible, in the period March-May 2021. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
