The Haverford College Department of Mathematics and Statistics (http://www.haverford.edu/math) invites applications for two full-time, two-year positions at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor beginning Fall 2021. Each visitor will teach the equivalent of five courses per academic year, and have support for research activities. A Ph.D. in the mathematical sciences by the time of hire is required. 

Haverford College is a leading liberal arts college located 9 miles from the center of Philadelphia. A successful candidate should provide strong evidence of effective teaching and an ability to contribute to the Haverford math curriculum at multiple levels, from introductory courses through senior thesis supervision. Preference will be given to candidates who can offer courses and/or supervise research in analysis or applied mathematics. The cover letter should discuss the candidate’s specific interest in developing their teaching and research programs in an undergraduate liberal arts setting in the Philadelphia area. The application should articulate how the candidate will contribute to the College’s commitment to diversity, especially through inclusive teaching practices.
