Vacancy Description School of Mathematics and Statistics. Salary: £33,797 - £36,914 per annum. Fixed Term: 3 years. Start: 1 July 2021 or as soon as possible thereafter. The Algebra and Combinatorics Research Group in the School of Mathematics and Statistics seeks to appoint a Research Fellow to work on the algebraic theory of semigroups. The post is a part of an EPSRC funded project on 'Right Noetherian and coherent monoids', held jointly by the Universities of St Andrews and York. Applicants should have, or be about to obtain, a Ph.D. in semigroup theory or a related area of algebra, and a track record of successful research. The post is for 36 months with a start date 1 July 2021 or soon after.
