The Department of Mathematics & Computer Science at Colorado College announces one or more one-year, non-tenure track Assistant Professor of Mathematics or Statistics positions to begin in August 2021. Visiting appointments may be renewed annually, depending on performance and staffing needs, resulting in a maximum possible term at the college of four years. The department values both depth and breadth in the mathematical sciences. Applicants must be able to teach a wide range of courses across the department’s mathematics curriculum.
Colorado College is a leading national liberal arts college with a distinctive academic calendar called the Block Plan, in which students take one course at a time. The teaching load for this position will consist of five regular courses per year, plus a mathematics or statistics activity for students that is of interest to the candidate. The college supports active scholarship via travel to conferences and internal grant opportunities.
