Major Duties: To conduct research, produce research publications, and present at conferences. The role carries responsibility for ensuring that research activities are in line with project objectives, and has autonomy to ensure that objectives are met. To contribute to the EPSRC-funded research project "Noncommutative statistical mechanics". This project concerns the interface of several disciplines (probability, analysis, combinatorics). Ability to learn quickly and willingness to engage with material from multiple disciplines is essential. To publish in leading journals and, where appropriate, to contribute to publications in these journals jointly with other members of the project. To provide regular progress reports to the Line Manager To attend and contribute to project meetings with staff and collaborators. To attend meetings, workshops and conferences in the UK and abroad, presenting research results and networking. To undertake any other duties as may be requested by the Investigator, provided that these are appropriate to the grade of the post. |
