Wellesley College is a highly selective liberal arts college for women with over 2000 students (http://www.wellesley.edu). Wellesley’s statistics curriculum has expanded rapidly in recent years, and student enthusiasm is high. The new hire will join an interdisciplinary community of data-focused faculty and students driving the future of statistics at the college, including through the math department's statistics courses and minor, the evolving data science program, and the college's Quantitative Analysis Institute.

Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Statistics or Biostatistics and provide strong evidence of excellence in teaching and research. The strongest candidates will have already established an excellent and ongoing research program with strong potential for future progress. Our expectation is that the successful candidate will excel at teaching and mentoring students who are broadly diverse with regard to race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, nationality, sexual orientation, and religion.
