| The Department of Statistics, at The Pennsylvania State University, invites applications for open rank research faculty (at the levels of Assistant, Associate or Research Professor), depending upon the candidate's qualification. These are non-tenure line positions as defined by the University. The successful candidate will work in the Statistical Consulting Center.
Qualified candidates should possess a Ph.D. in Statistics or a closely related field by appointment start date. The successful candidate will have evidence of excellence in research, teaching, and communication skills. In addition to regular teaching and research, the candidate will work closely with the Statistical Consulting Center on consulting and collaboration projects as well as training graduate students to become effective communicators. The Eberly College of Science takes an active role in building a talented and inclusive workforce.
This is a limited-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
