The "Lagrange Mathematics and Computing Research Center (LMCRC)" is beginning a new research project on Optimal Transportation. The project is led by Alessio Figalli (ETH Zurich), Guillaume Carlier (Paris Dauphine), Quentin Merigot (Paris-Saclay) and Filippo Santambrogio (Lyon 1).

The focus of the project is on optimal transport with special attention to Wasserstein gradient flows, the use of Wasserstein distance in sampling problems, the regularity of optimal transport maps, and computational aspects.

The project is seeking to recruit PhD students and-or postdocs. Candidates will be based in Paris, with an office at the Lagrange Center located at

103 Rue de Grenelle, 75007, Paris, France

and will receive a competitive salary. The exact start date and duration of the contract are flexible and will be discussed with the individual candidates.
