A competitive candidate should have a transformative research program and show excellence in teaching. Applicants from all fields of mathematics will be considered, but we give preference to candidates whose research area has a connection to any of the existing research groups at UCLA or candidates that could take a leadership role in our evolving programs in Financial/Actuarial Mathematics or in Data Theory.
