Job Description: Description of Duties:

SUNY Polytechnic Institute's College of Arts and Sciences Department of Mathematics and Physics invites applications for a full-time non-tenure-track Lecturer of Applied Mathematics. The successful applicant will teach and provide coordination and oversight for core introductory math courses.

We are eager to hear from candidates with demonstrated commitments both teaching and research, and a commitment to cultivating diversity in the university and professional work environment.

The successful candidate will provide coordination and oversight for College Algebra, Precalculus, Calculus, and Statistics, and serve as the primary contact for the math placement exam, tutoring, and co-remediation.

Specific duties include teaching three sections per semester of introductory math courses.

Other responsibilities include contributing to the assessment and continued development of Applied Mathematics courses, and contributing.

Other reasonable duties as assigned.

Requirements: Minimum Qualifications:

M.S. in Mathematics, or a closely related field from a college or university accredited by the US Department of Education or internationally recognized organization.
