The Department of Mathematics at the University at Buffalo, The State University of New York, plans to hire two clinical assistant professors to serve instructional needs within the introductory Mathematics curriculum.

We seek individuals with expertise and interests in both instruction and curriculum design, for mathematics courses adapted to the skills of incoming students to pave the way for maximal success in later quantitatively oriented classes. Incumbents will focus initially on existing courses that serve critical needs for retention and student enrollment. Teaching duties may evolve as the Mathematics Department continues to develop its curriculum.

These are non-tenure-track positions with an academic year (10-month) obligation. The teaching load will be four courses per semester. Initial appointment will be for a three-year term with opportunity for renewal based on performance, College need, and available funding.
