Evelyn and John G. Phillips Distinguished Chair in Mathematics:

The Mathematics Department at Tulane University invites applications for the Evelyn and John G. Phillips Distinguished Chair in Mathematics. This endowed chair position seeks candidates from senior mathematicians who are nationally and internationally recognized for research excellence. The successful candidates for this pivotal appointment will be expected to: (1) provide leadership in expanding, enhancing and strengthening our department’s research activities and visibility, (2) show a record of substantial research funding, (3) exhibit excellent teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

The Mathematics Department at Tulane University consists of 22 tenured/tenure-track faculty members whose interests span a broad range of fields in core and applied mathematics as well as statistics, and 4 Professors of Practice.
