The Institute of Statistics and Mathematical Methods in Economics, at TU Wien, is offering a position as university assistant (Post-doc) for 4 years for 40 hours/week. Expected start: March 2022 Tasks: Research and project activity, publication of research articles Independent teaching, cooperation in teaching, guidance of students, evaluations and exams Assistance/collaboration in organization of scientific events Assistance in administrative tasks of the research division and of the faculty

Your profile: PhD Degree in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics (preferably in Variational Analysis, Optimization, Operational Research or related) In-depth knowledge of the research area, publications, presentations Teaching experience and motivation for independent research and working with students Mastering of the English language, very good communicative skills, and team competences Organisational and analytical skills as well as a structured way of working Skills in numerical analysis and programming will be highly appreciated Experience in national/international research cooperation, project management and interdisciplinary work will be appreciated

Entry level salary is determined by the pay grade B1 of the Austrian collective agreement for university staff. This is a minimum of currently EUR 3,945.90/month gross, 14 times/year for 40 hours/week. Relevant working experiences may increase the monthly income.
