| The Institute of Physical and Mathematical Sciences at the Universidad
Austral de Chile, located in Valdivia, Chile, invites applications for
an open position for Associate or Assistant professor (depending on the
credentials of the applicants). The starting date is August 1st, 2022.
Applicants with expertise in either Dynamical Systems or Numerical Analysis will be given higher preference. However, applicants with expertise in the following areas of research will be also considered.
-Groups Representation Theory.
-Homological Algebra.
-Functional Analysis.
-Partial Differential Equations.

Applications must include:
1) Curriculum vitae including information on education, professional
experience, a complete list of publications, a survey of past research
and teaching experience.
2) A research plan for the next two years.
3) A statement on teaching philosophy.
The candidates must also arrange for at least three reference letters
from senior scholars. One of these letters should include comments on
the applicant's competence in teaching, or the applicant should arrange
to have an additional reference letter regarding his/her teaching.
A basic level of Spanish is required since teaching at Universidad
Austral de Chile is in Spanish.
