| A postdoctoral position in Mathematical Physics is available at the Department of Mathematical Physics of the Applied Mathematics and Systems Research Institute (IIMAS) at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). UNAM is the most important university in Mexico and it is considered to be one of the most prestigious universities in Latin America. IIMAS is a multidisciplinary research institute focused on Mathematical Physics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science and Engineering. With 74 permanent staff members, IIMAS offers an excellent opportunity for academic growth. Candidates are expected to have a solid background in operator theory and functional analysis and be willing to do research in collaboration with the mathematical physics team at IIMAS. The position comes without teaching duties. Candidates are not expected to speak Spanish. The position ends in November 2023, with the possibility to be extended up to 21 months.
