The Department of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Alabama in Huntsville invites applications for a Lecturer position in mathematics to begin in August 2022. This is a non-tenure-track teaching position. Applicants must have completed at least 18 graduate credits in mathematics or applied mathematics and possess at least an MS degree in mathematics. Preference will be given to applicants who can demonstrate evidence of excellence in teaching.

The Department of Mathematical Sciences, which offers academic programs leading to Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Mathematics and to the Doctor of Philosophy degree in Applied Mathematics, has over 18 full-time faculty members whose expertise covers main topics arising in applied mathematics. The successful applicants will be expected to teach undergraduate courses including Calculus.


The University of Alabama in Huntsville, classified as a High Research Activity institution, offers academic and research programs in the Colleges of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences; Business; Education; Engineering; Nursing; Professional Studies; and Science. Huntsville is also home to a large number of spaces, defense, and other high-technology companies, most of which are located in Cummings Research Park, adjacent to the UAH campus, and the second-largest research park in the nation.
