Please Note: This job posting has been extended. The new anticipated start date for this position is August 16, 2023. The initial appointment, with an anticipated start date of August 16, 2023, will be for one
academic year. Renewal for up to three years is anticipated based on available department
funding and performance. In addition to teaching large lectures in gateway mathematics classes
(ranging from quantitative literacy and college algebra through multivariable calculus), the
successful candidate will also gain experience and training in coordinating instruction for large
enrollment courses with multiple instructors of record. This will be done as part of a vibrant,
diverse, and close-knit team of career instructional experts and mentors within the Department
of Mathematics which serves over 10,000 students per year across various backgrounds and
career interests. The successful candidate must have a Master’s or higher degree in mathematics, mathematics
education or related field.

CV that minimally includes education history, a list of courses taught noting class size and modality (online, in-person, hybrid), and experience with learning management systems, such as D2L, Blackboard, or Canvas. 2. Teaching statement that addresses the applicant’s approach to instruction, competency in the use of technology in instruction, any experience with course coordination or undergraduate teaching assistant training, and how issues of diversity and inclusion shape the applicant’s pedagogy. (limit 3 pages) 3. Names and contact information of two references who can address the applicant’s strengths in classroom instruction and/or coordination of a professional team.
