This position will be expected to conduct research and collaborate with a strong background in mathematical biology and applied mathematics and/or data science. The scholar will work with Prof. Zixuan Cang on data-driven modeling and topological and geometric data analysis for biology, with a special emphasis on data integration, inferring biological processes, and machine learning, etc. for single-cell and spatial omics data. The scholar is expected to teach two courses per year. The particular courses are assigned by the department after close consultation with the scholar. This position is expected to have a strong background in applied mathematics and/or data science and scientific computing. Experience in biology is preferred but optional.
