The PNNL Computational Mathematics group is seeking outstanding mid-career Applied Mathematicians for a senior appointment. The candidates must have a demonstrated record of excellence in the broad field of Applied Mathematics, including but not limited to multiscale modeling, uncertainty quantification, physics-informed machine learning, computational statistics, mathematical data science and numerical analysis. Successful candidates are expected to engage in interdisciplinary research within PNNL and foster collaborations within the national laboratory complex and with academic institutions. Additional responsibilities include: • Principal Investigator (PI) or Co-PI on multiple or significantly complex, and/or high risk projects • Takes lead in scope, schedule, and budget for projects or large tasks • Demonstrates ability to acquire funding for self and task level teams • Recognized by sponsors and collaborators for delivery on important programmatic elements |
