The Quantitative Methods Area in the Krannert School of Management, Purdue University, invites applications for two clinical assistant/associate professor positions (non-tenure track but promotable to higher rank) starting in August, 2023.

The incumbents’ responsibilities will include most or all of the following:

Developing instructional materials and teaching data and analytics related undergraduate courses, such as Management Science, Business Statistics, Data Mining, Predictive Analytics, Advanced Spreadsheet Modeling, Statistical Quality Control, etc.

Developing and supervising experiential learning courses or projects for the BAIM (Business Analytics & Information Management) program students. Representing the Quantitative Methods area in the school’s existing program management and new program development.

Developing and teaching quantitative methods courses for residential master’s programs, weekend MBA program, online MBA program, and online master’s BAIM program.

Engaging in academic and business venues to follow, collaborate, and adapt latest developments in business analytics education and application for keeping course curriculums up to date. These responsibilities are reflected as in the requirements of, for an academic year, 18 credit hour course teaching and 6 credit hours of program management, area/department/school services, and external partners’ engagement. Minimum requirements: A Ph.D. or M.A./M.S. with extensive teaching experience at the college level is required. Passionate about teaching and with excellent student course reviews. Strong ability of developing and organizing experiential learning projects and events. Effective communications with colleagues and students. Industry experience/connection is a plus.
