Subject to budgetary approval, Rice expects to have Griffith Conrad Evans Instructorship and Lovett Instructorship positions beginning in the Fall of 2023. These instructorships are open to all qualified candidates. These positions are two to three year appointments and are open to promising research mathematicians with research interests in common with the active research areas at Rice; particularly, algebraic geometry and number theory, analysis, differential geometry, geometric analysis, geometric group theory, geometric topology, homogeneous dynamics, non-commutative algebra, partial differential equations, mathematical physics and symplectic geometry and topology. Duties will include research and classroom teaching. Preference will be given to candidates who have received their Ph.D. degree no earlier than December 2021.
