Assistant Professor – Mathematics or Statistics

The Department of Mathematics at Creighton University seeks to hire a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in August 2023.

Responsibilities

In this position, your duties would typically include a 3-course teaching load each semester, substantive progress on research or scholarly work, and department service. Faculty are heavily involved in undergraduate research work in their own disciplines and in interdisciplinary outreach and programs, such as the interdisciplinary major and minor in data science, the medical mathematics major program for pre-health science students, and the 3-2 pre-engineering program. 

Qualifications

·       Ph.D. in Mathematics or Statistics/Data Science is required.

·       The willingness and ability to teach data science, statistics, and/or applied mathematics courses is required.

·       Experience with computer programming and familiarity with R or Python is a plus.
