Job Description Summary Full time, tenure-track faculty position in Computer Science The Department of Computer and Mathematical Sciences includes Mathematics, Computer Science, and Computer Engineering Responsibilities Responsible to model the University Mission through dedicated job performance, service excellence to constituencies, respectful collaboration and active support of the University’s Mission and Catholic and Lasallian higher education. Responsibilities include: -Teaching 24 semester hours per year, service, and professional development, broadly defined. The new faculty member will teach and regularly update a variety of courses for our undergraduate and graduate computer science programs. The new faculty member will develop a research program in virtual reality with undergraduate and graduate students. Additionally, the faculty member will maintain the virtual reality lab. Minimum Qualifications The candidate must have a PhD in Computer Science or related discipline. The candidate must have a passion for teaching a variety of computing science courses to undergraduate and graduate students and to engage in research related to computer science, particularly in Virtual Reality. The candidate must be an innovative self-starter willing to design, implement, and teach new courses in computer science and to help develop interdisciplinary opportunities between computer science and other fields. |
