Position Title: Lecturer I Duties and Responsibilities: The Department of Statistics at the University of Michigan is seeking to fill a Lecturer I position. This is a one-year appointment that may be extended subject to departmental needs and satisfactory performance. The initial appointment period is for Winter Term 2023 (1/1/23-4/30/23) with anticipation it will continue into the 2023-34 academic year and beyond. Primary responsibilities include teaching approximately 7 to 8 undergraduate lab sections per term for Statistics 250 or other large introductory statistics courses, holding office hours, grading assignments and exams, and participating in other activities of the course instructional team. Position Qualifications: Candidates should have a Master's degree or Ph.D. in Statistics or a related field, and some college-level teaching experience.
