Postdoctoral researchers working in this area will be mentored to support the development of their own independent research program, while collaborating with the research collective. At Tulane, professional development includes the usual interactions with faculty researchers to discuss career decisions, along with the expectation that the postdoc participate in the mentoring of graduate students in conjunction with Ken McLaughlin, as well as teaching two courses per year.

The Mathematics Department faculty at Tulane University consists of 22 tenured/tenure-track faculty members whose interests span a broad range of fields in core and applied mathematics as well as statistics, and 4 Professors of Practice.
