One or two postdoctoral positions are available in the Mathematics Department of Tulane University to help create a new research group in integrability, and to take part in a multi-university, international research collaborative. The research team strives to discover nonlinear phenomena along with their complete and mathematically precise explanations.

Postdoctoral researchers working in this area will be mentored to support the development of their own independent research program, while collaborating with the research collective. At Tulane, professional development includes the usual interactions with faculty researchers to discuss career decisions, along with the expectation that the postdoc participate in the mentoring of graduate students in conjunction with Ken McLaughlin, as well as teaching two courses per year.

The Mathematics Department faculty at Tulane University consists of 22 tenured/tenure-track faculty members whose interests span a broad range of fields in core and applied mathematics as well as statistics, and 4 Professors of Practice. Please visit us at https://sse.tulane.edu/math. A Ph.D. in Mathematics or a related field is required, along with experience in asymptotic analysis. The appointment is for one year, and, subject to successful performance, renewable for up to two more years. Full details are available at the Interfolio position posting (link below).
