      Department of Mathematics at the Great Bay University is now inviting applications for faculty positions in mathematics and related interdisciplinary areas, including but not limited to: Computational and applied mathematics; data science, machine learning and artificial intelligence for science; modeling, analysis, simulation and prediction for biological, engineering, physical and quantum systems; probability theory and stochastic analysis; differential geometry and geometric analysis; algebraic and geometric topology; algebra, number theory and cryptography; dynamical systems; analysis and nonlinear/stochastic partial differential equations; mathematical physics.
      
      Outstanding candidates of all ranks will be considered. 
      1. Chair Professors: Candidates are leading mathematicians with an international reputation and a track record of excellence in research and/or education. Successful candidates are expected to set strategic goals and lead a team or a center within the school.
      2. Professors and Associate Professors: Candidates are experienced, independent, achieved mathematicians and educators with a track record of publications and/or other achievements. 
      3. Assistant Professors: Candidates preferably have postdoctoral experience, are establishing themselves as promising junior mathematicians, and are able to teach undergraduate and graduate courses independently. 
      4. Postdoctoral Fellows: Candidates are new PhDs in differential geometry and geometric analysis, algebraic geometry, symplectic geometry and topology, stochastic analysis, stochastic dynamics, stochastic partial differential equations, Hamiltonian and contact dynamical systems, non-equilibrium statistical mechanics, quantum & classical chaos and complex systems, quantum dynamics and quantum information, machine learning and dynamical systems, stochastic biological physics, probability and mathematical physics, and stochastic/nonlinear geophysical dynamical systems.
      

      Compensations and benefits. The Great Bay University offers internationally competitive salaries and generous start-up funds, which are commensurate with qualifications. Benefit packages include annual leaves, housing funds, as well as medical, and retirement insurances mandated under the laws and regulations. Accepted candidates are encouraged to apply for national, provincial, and municipal talent funds, most of which carry additional research grants. Those who qualify for Dongguan’s special talent program are eligible for an additional 1M to 10M RMB housing subsidies. The exceptional candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis. 

      
      Minimum Requirements and Responsibilities. Candidates must demonstrate, via high-quality publications in top journals, solid research training, and innovation in relevant science areas, and meet the university’s educational needs. Strong work ethics, the ability to innovate and team spirit are required. Successful candidates are expected to carry out independent research and teaching, as well as contribute to the university’s academic and educational development.
