The appointment is 9 months per year. Candidates should have finished their PhD in applied mathematics (or related fields) before their appointment start date, and show promise for a career in research and teaching. A successful candidate should have a strong background in applied and/or computational mathematics, possess research synergy with current faculty members, and teach courses in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, UMBC.
