The Department of Mathematics at the California Institute of Technology invites applications for  Caltech-Tsinghua joint postdoc fellowships beginning September 2023.

We are interested in candidates in the central areas of (pure) mathematics as well as in those who are interested in bridging mathematics with computer science (eg. machine learning), physics or biology.

Appointments are for three years with a possible one-year extension. Appointees will allocate their time between Caltech and Tsinghua University, according to their own preferences and research programs. A minimum of one year at each institution is required for the first three-year period. Small amount of teaching (up to one course per semester) is expected when the appointees are in residence at Caltech.
