Title of Position: Visiting Assistant Professor of Computer Science The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at St. Mary's College of
Maryland is accepting applications for a one-year appointment as Visiting Assistant
Professor of Computer Science, beginning August 2023. Teaching responsibilities
will include lower-level required courses as well as upper-level electives. All faculty at
St. Mary's are expected to contribute to the college-wide core curriculum as well as to
the departmental curriculum. Qualifications: Applicants must have a Masters or Ph.D. in Computer Science,
Mathematics, Scientific Computing, or other Computational Science and be
committed to excellence in undergraduate teaching. A successful applicant who has
an MS but not a Ph.D. will be considered a Visiting Instructor of Computer Science.
The successful candidate must produce the necessary documentation to legally
work in the U.S. upon hire. Non-sectarian since its founding, St. Mary's College of Maryland, a public Carnegie
Baccalaureate, Arts and Sciences institution located in St. Mary's City, 70 miles
southeast of Washington, D.C., has been designated as Maryland's public honors
