Lake Superior State University is committed to providing high quality learning experiences for underserved populations such as first-generation or Pell-grant eligible students. Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong interest in and ability for teaching students at all levels of the undergraduate curriculum including developmental mathematics courses such as beginning and intermediate algebra.

Applicants must possess a Master’s degree or higher in mathematics, mathematics education, or statistics. Minimal qualifications include the successful completion of 18 or more graduate credits in mathematics. The position calls for an ability to teach a broad range of undergraduate courses in the mathematics curriculum; thus doctoral or ABD applicants are preferred. Applicants must be able to demonstrate evidence of successful teaching experience at the developmental level.

Successful applicants will work with colleagues to deliver at least 12 credit hours of high quality instruction per semester.

Lake Superior State University is situated on the Saint Mary’s River at the eastern end of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Lakes Michigan, Huron, and Superior are all within an hour’s drive of the university campus.
