Assistant Professor in MathematicsFaculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University (Prague) invites applications for an assistant professor position (tenure-track). First contract is for 3 years, it can be prolonged after an evaluation up to 9 years. After the habilitation, a permanent position will be offered. We aim to hire an outstanding, internationally recognized researcher with excellent track record in mathematics (with a reasonable chance to receive international grant awards such as ERC grants). Requirements: No knowledge of the Czech language is necessary. However, the interest to learn Czech is welcome. (Teaching at the Master's level is done mainly in English, but all the Bachelor's courses are in Czech.) A competitive salary is guaranteed for two years. After that, the selected candidate is expected to obtain a grant (eg, from ERC and/or Czech Science Foundation) supporting a part of the salary.
