The University of Southern Mississippi invites applications for permanent, full-time, nine-month, non-tenure-track faculty positions of Assistant Teaching Professor of Mathematics in the School of Mathematics and Natural Sciences in the College of Arts and Sciences to begin in August 2023. The successful candidate is expected to be committed to high quality undergraduate teaching. Review of applications will begin December 1, 2022 and will continue until the positions are filled. A Doctorate in Mathematics or a related field with at least 18 graduate credit hours in Mathematics is required by the start of the appointment. The successful candidate must be able to engage in effective teaching.

Responsibilities include teaching 12 semester credit hours of undergraduate courses in mathematics, curriculum development, and service to the School and University commensurate with expectations of all faculty. Experience teaching introductory mathematics or mathematics education courses at the college level, experience teaching online courses, experience mentoring mathematics education students and experience with recruitment will be considered positively.
