Job OverviewApplications are invited for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in statistics within the Department of Mathematical Sciences, which offers BS, MS and PhD degrees in statistics through its Division of Statistics and Data Science. We seek candidates in research areas such as, but not limited to, statistical machine learning and statistical methods for big data. The Department is dedicated to excellence in both research and teaching. Statistics faculty in the Department are involved in both methodological and interdisciplinary research. They have diverse areas of research interests, which include scalable Bayesian methods, spatial statistics, and statistical methods for massive or complex data, in general, and high-dimensional data analysis, statistical machine learning, uncertainty quantification, and analysis of network data, in particular.
