The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Georgetown University (https://mathstat.georgetown.edu/) invites applications for adjunct instructors in Calculus I for Fall 2023. Adjunct faculty are hired for a semester based on the department’s needs and are paid $9,000 per course. Calculus I is taught in multiple sections coordinated by a full time faculty member to ensure consistency in course content and learning objectives. Candidates must have a demonstrated excellence in teaching undergraduate mathematics courses. Experience with technology and instructional strategies that engage students in active learning of mathematics is desirable. Familiarity with Canvas learning management system and MyLab Math online homework system are desirable. Qualifications: Master’s or PhD in Mathematics. Ability to work in a team and teach in a coordinated setting.
