AACC is a tenure granting institution. Any candidate hired as a full-time faculty member may be eligible to apply for tenure in the future based on institutional eligibility requirements. This position requires regular in-person presence on campus or at alternative locations, depending on class schedule and other assigned duties. Flexible teaching schedules may be available based student need. AACC offers daytime, evening, weekend classes, hybrid and online classes.

The Mathematics Department at Anne Arundel Community College seeks a full-time instructor or assistant professor of mathematics with a proven ability to teach developmental and college-level mathematics courses including statistics. This position requires regular in-person instruction and online instruction. Additionally, a strong candidate should have a growth mindset, be collaborative, and possess a willingness to learn and try new pedagogy and technology in their courses.

Requirements: • Master's degree or higher in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, Statistics, or a closely related field with at least 18 graduate credit hours in mathematics • Minimum of 15 credit hours of teaching mathematics at a college • Ability to teach a wide range of community college mathematics courses including developmental and credit-level courses • Experience teaching in face-to-face and online formats • Experience integrating technology and innovative teaching strategies to improve student learning • Experience working collaboratively with colleagues
