The School of Science at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY
invites applications for the position of Lecturer in the Department of
Computer Science (http://www.cs.rpi.edu) to start in January or August of
2023. The initial appointment is for up to three (3) academic years, with
the expectation of subsequent renewal. Candidates must possess a Master's degree, Ph.D., or foreign degree
equivalent in Computer Science, Mathematics or related fields.
The Computer Science department is looking for teaching faculty at the
intersection of CS and mathematics to teach courses such as Discrete Math,
Linear Algebra, Probability and Statistics, and so on with a computational
flavor. Therefore, a PhD (or a Masters) in Math, with computational
experience, would be very appropriate for this position. The
successful candidate will have strong teaching, advising, and mentoring
skills. Evidence of teaching effectiveness may include student evaluations,
syllabi, and/or sample assignments. As Rensselaer approaches its 200th anniversary, come join our team as we
