TITLE: Assistant Professor, Mathematics DEPARTMENT: Rosary College of Arts and Sciences FLSA Status: Exempt (salary) STATUS: Full Time, Tenure-Track REPORTS TO: Dean, RCAS Open Until Filled: Yes Dominican University seeks applicants for a tenure-track position in the mathematics department to begin in August 2023 at the rank of Assistant Professor. Applicants must hold a PhD in mathematics or a related field. Preference will be given to applicants with expertise in numerical analysis or statistics. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses from across all levels including developmental mathematics and courses at the calculus level; ongoing scholarly activity; advising mathematics majors; and service to the department, college, and university. The mathematics department offers a mathematics major with an optional actuarial science concentration as well as two interdisciplinary majors with the computer science department. All faculty members are invited to contribute to the University’s Core Curriculum. Faculty members work collaboratively and collegially. Working alongside faculty is a Student Care Team, devoted specifically to mathematics and science courses, that supports students academically and non-academically.
