The Department of Mathematics at École polytechnique considers hiring Monge Professors. These are tenure track positions. They consist in two three-year contracts. After completion of a habilitation and subject to a positive evaluation by a scientific committee, this will lead to a Professor of the École polytechnique position. Applicants should be prepared to get involved in long-term educational and mentoring projects at École polytechnique at any teaching level. Courses are expected to be given in English for some part of the teaching load. Research activities will be carried out within one of the teams of the Centre de Mathématiques Laurent Schwartz (algebra and number theory, analysis and partial differential equations, geometry and dynamical systems). Applicants will be mathematicians having international recognition in their field and demonstrate excellent teaching skills. For more information on these positions, please contact François Golse (francois.golse@polytechnique.edu) Chairman of the department of mathematics (École polytechnique), or Nicolas Perrin (nicolas.perrin.cmls@polytechnique.edu) Director of Centre de Mathématiques Laurent Schwartz (CNRS-École polytechnique). |
