Transylvania University (www.transy.edu), a top-tier, independent, residential liberal arts college in Lexington, Kentucky, invites applications for a full-time, one-year, non-tenure-track Visiting Assistant Professor of Mathematics. This is an in-person teaching position beginning September 1, 2023. Job Description: The successful candidate will be responsible for offering courses in the Mathematics Program. The teaching load consists of three courses per term, plus one short-term course in May (3-3-1). We are interested in candidates with the ability to teach a range of courses from the calculus sequence, introductory courses for non-mathematics majors, and upper level courses. Qualifications: A Ph.D. or nearly completed Ph.D. in Mathematics is required along with some college level teaching experience. All specializations are welcome to apply.
