Priority will be given to students and researchers with interests in any combination of (geometric) group theory, complex dynamics, symbolic dynamics, complexity and decidability questions, and computer-assisted proofs.

The PhD position is offered for 4 years, and comes with a standard "Research Assistant" position. It involves a small amount of tutoring duties. The postdoctoral position is also a standard "Research Assistant", with 4 hours/week of teaching/tutoring duties. Teaching can be done in English, and knowledge of German is welcome.

Positions are typically offered for 2 years, extendable once. The salaries follow the A13/E13 guidelines, between 45k€/yr for PhD students to 60k€/yr for postdocs depending on many factors such as experience and family.
