The Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS) seeks applicants for the position of full-time Lecturer in Computational Science and Data Science, with an expected start date of July 1, 2023. This is a 12-month appointment for a maximum of three years, with the second two years contingent on satisfactory performance during the first year.

Duties include teaching three computational or data science courses per year, supervising and advising master’s student projects, and conducting independent research in an area of the lecturer’s choosing. In addition, the lecturer will be expected to participate in the organization of community events planned by the Office of Master’s and Professional Programs.

Candidates are required to have a doctoral degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, physical sciences, or social sciences with a focus on computational methods by the time the position begins.

In addition, we seek candidates with strong programming skills and experience in teaching at the undergraduate or graduate level, preferably in parallel /distributed / high performance computing, and simulation and modeling.

Candidates are also required to submit the names and contact information for three to five references. At least three letters of recommendation are required to be submitted for the application to be considered complete.
